Since July 2007, CommuniCare, Inc. has served as the fiduciary agent for the CT Latino Behavioral Health System. The CT LBHS represents a regional collaborative of thirteen behavioral health organizations with a shared mission to expand and enhance the existing network of recovery-oriented and community-based services, and to ensure that behavioral healthcare is both accessible, and culturally and linguistically appropriate, for Latinos throughout south central Connecticut. To this end, CT LBHS efforts are continually informed by consumers, family members, clinical staff, and community stakeholders, and collectively focus on reducing existing disparities to care through 1) innovative workforce development efforts, and 2) increased access to culturally and linguistically competent treatment which includes: admission evaluations, individual/ family/group psychotherapies, treatment planning, case management, psychosocial rehabilitation, psychiatric evaluations, and medication management services.

Subcontracting sites include Birmingham Group Health Services, Bridges… a Community Support System, Harbor Health Services, Chemical Abuse Services Agency/Multicultural Ambulatory Addiction Services, Cornell-Scott Hill Health Center, and Fair Haven Community Health Center.
