We will present the Sixth Annual Denis Olsen Public Advocacy Award at our 15th annual meeting on December 16 and are looking for nominees statewide who meet the following criteria:

An individual, agency, organization, or entity committed to supporting, improving and/or advancing behavioral/mental health care in our communities; an outspoken advocate who is willing to “push the envelope” and take bold action to effect change. Nominees should demonstrate through specific actions over time, a commitment to raising awareness, initiating change, enhancing quality of care, and/or creating new services, and should demonstrate the vision and foresight needed to create a healthier future for persons affected by the challenges of mental health and addiction problems and the providers who serve them. (Possible nominees for this award can include consumers, advocates, volunteers, providers, organizations, etc.)

Deadline for nominations is November 1, 2011.
